Tabor's TMS multiple slope vibrating mechanism produces a linear motion (straight line) developing high acceleration (G. forces); this increased acceleration and multiple sloping decks are most suitable for high tonnage. The linear drive mechanism may be driven with a standard v-belt or "jack shaft" side drive system.
The standard TH Drive Mechanism can be connected in series to produce the stroke required and, in plants that already have the TH Mechanism, will reduce inventory and speed up service.
TH Mechanisms are constructed with short centered shafts, minimizing deflection and utilizing large cylindrical bearings for maximum bearing life.
Tabor also offers, as an option, an "outboard" counter-weighted mechanism.
Shafts
The Shafts are geared together for positive synchronization, assuring a true linear motion for maximum screening efficiency.
Counter Weights
Variable counterweights and "nesting" of the mechanism makes them suitable for a wide range of sizes.
Operating Principal
The operating principal of Tabor's multiple slope (TMS) vibrating screen is based on maintaining a thin bed of material from the feed end to the discharge end of the vibrator. This allows stratification of the fines to the bottom of the bed and increases the probability of separation.
By designing our TMS screens with varying deck slopes, we get improved screening efficiencies at higher tonnage rates when compared to conventional horizontal type screens.
Construction
The TMS screens have Heavy Duty A36 Steel Side Plates, with vertical and longitudinal reinforcing bars, utilize "Huck" bolting for attachment of the four foot modular deck support frames to the side plates, as well as as the mechanism support beam, feed boxes and discharge lips. The Deck Support Frames are constructed of mechanical tube cross members and side channels.
Deck Wear Liner
The TMS Multiple Slope Deck System is designed with a replaceable polyurethane wear liner between each deck slope to reduce wear at these points, plus side plate wear liners above the deck surface. Feed box and discharge lip liners are standard. Each four foot modular deck support frame can be designed to use Punch Plate, Woven Wire, Polyurethane and Profile Screen Surface.
